TEAM TO RACE OLYMPIC TEST EVENT

With the Olympic Games just around the corner all the new Olympic courses are being trialed and the next event on the calendar is the London Surrey Cycle Classic, a UCI 1.2 race on Sunday August 14th.

With this being the only opportunity to race the course the 19 national teams will be packing the event with star riders. Tour de France stage winner Mark Cavendish,Belgium’s Tom Boonen and Australian Matt Goss are confirmed to ride, this will be one hotly contested race. TeamRaleighis one of 11 other teams invited to make up the filed of 28 teams, 140 riders.

 

The race starts at 9am and goes over the climb of Box Hill and will finish in The Mall in centralLondonaround 1pm.
